Until now, all my letters were groups of individual strokes. Same strokes were shared by many letterforms to keep the entire alphabet consistent. But now, when I am importing letter shapes from Illustrator to Fontlab, I should merge each group of strokes into one uniform shape. And that is a time to make some final adjustments to each letter like smoothing corners at stroke joints, polish stroke endings, adjust width and slant of strokes once more. Here is a small example:


Although I still have a lot of glyphs missing (numbers and punctuation), it is the time to move from Illustrator to FontLab. So, from now on, I’ll be filling my empty font file with glyphs that I have so far.
